March 31st -- Annual Rummage Sale Day!

weather: sunny, cool (the sale started at 8)

amount spent: $10.60

comments: today was the annual Spring Rummage Sale at the Mountain View Presbyterian Church, which MR and I have attended for years, joined in the last few by Joe. We eagerly anticipate this sale every year because it is consistently well organized, well run, and the prices are fair. The turnout this year was huge, it seemed much busier, at least in the first hour we were there, than in previous years. We did stop at a garage sale on the way home, but only bought 2 books there.

On the left side of the table are the contents of my "fill a bag for 75 cents" deal at the fabric and notions table, a regular feature at this rummage sale. The 3 lengths of printed fabric near the center are civil war era reproduction fabrics, the colorful pieces near the bottom of the picture are velvet or velveteen. The roll is some kind of very stiff interfacing. A fabulous deal. The bag of (mostly wool) yarn was $1, another great deal.
